Native Plant Lawn-Alternative Tours

Tour group at medium height meadow

Interested in reducing the amount you mow and water while helping our local ecosystem thrive? Come learn about adding native plants to your site!

Join Burlington Parks Recreation & Waterfront and Burlington Wildways' Grow Wild for a fun and informative session behind the Louisa Howard Chapel (Lakeview Cemetery, 455 North Avenue). These tours are made possible by The One Hive Foundation!

We will introduce you to the lawn alternative demonstration sites at the cemetery and review several different methods of converting turf lawn to climate resilient and biologically diverse landscapes.

These sessions will cover native plant management techniques and the challenges and successes of each method.

Sign up here for the hour long guided walking tour, all sessions are free!
