The Allen House

The Allen House, c.1785, sits along the Burlington Wildways Trail at the Ethan Allen Homestead. This restored home was the last dwelling of General Ethan Allen and you can explore it by tour with the Ethan Allen Homestead Museum.

Sea Caves

The Sea Caves are best explored when winter ice in the wetland is thick and safe for skating or walking across. These formations are a remnant of a time when Lake Champlain was once a much larger and deeper inland sea, known as the Champlain Sea.

Founded in 1988, the Intervale Center manages a 360-acre campus of farmland, trails and open space along the Winooski River in Burlington, VT. Here you'll find a hub at 180 Intervale Rd with main offices, info hub, and community event grounds.
