Centennial Woods / Schmanska Park • 110 acres

Centennial Woods and Schmanska Park straddle the Burlington/South Burlington line, but once you are deep in the woods, the political boundaries are nowhere to be found. This expansive natural area has an unsigned web of a trail network that allows hikers to lose themselves under a high canopy of pines and escape the city. Deer, fox, otters, beavers, and even bobcats have been spotted here. Access the area either by UVM parking lots off of Catamount Drive, or the free parking lot at Schmanska Park on Grove Street.
