North Shore Natural Area

North Shore Natural Area

A delightful change from the crowded, groomed beaches farther south, the North Shore Natural Area is a wild place, offering a more peaceful look at Lake Champlain and quieter space for watching shorebirds and sunsets. Near the mouth of the Winooski River and the west-most facing beach, this natural area feels secluded and quiet.

Connection

North Shore Natural Area was originally a part of the Starr Farm property and is found across the Burlington Greenway from Starr Farm Park.

Access

North Shore Natural Area can be accessed via staircase leading downslope from the Burlington Greenway. Bike parking is available at the viewing deck above the staircase. Parking is available at nearby Starr Farm Park and bathrooms are available at the park seasonally.
