Forest at Appletree Point

4.03 Acres

109 Appletree Point Rd

The Forest at Appletree Point is a preserved pocket forest in a neighborhood in the New North End. Foxes and other forest creatures’ tracks can be found crisscrossing the forest from the drier, upland side, to the boggy, fern-filled basin. A small water retention pond serves as an oasis for flora and fauna on the southern end.

Connection

Sandwiched between neighborhoods of Appletree Point between Leddy Park and Starr Farm, this pocket forest is a unique oasis near the edge of Lake Champlain.

Access

Although there are no trails yet built in the forest, it can be accessed via street parking on Appletree Point Road.
